About the company
Keep Co is a Canberra Coworking space for community focused professionals that value genuine relationships in the workplace.
Established in 2018, Keep Co’s mission is to set a new benchmark for community-first coworking in Canberra. We love all things local and exist to support small businesses, freelancers, remote workers and entrepreneurs to do great work.
The challenge
We consider greenhouse gas emissions in all our business decisions. We want people to work happily, comfortably and sustainably at Keep Co.
The solution
Evalue8 Sustainability’s software helped us do that and track our progress in reducing our emissions as we drove them down over time. We bought carbon offsets from day one of our operations, but our goal was to minimise what we needed to offset.
They helped us with the carbon accounting, so we could focus our efforts on implementing energy efficiency measures. We didn’t know how to set our emissions boundaries (one of Evalue8’s Climate Active-certified staff did that) and we didn’t want to work out how to set up spreadsheets to track emissions that we would then have to maintain on top of our regular workload.
Having Evalue8 draw data on our activities from Xero and convert this into reports on greenhouse emissions by source for us saved us a lot of time – considerably more than the software cost.
